Alex enjoys eating and cooking for other people so much that’s he’s made it his mission in life! He’s able to prepare a simple club sandwich with as much passion as a rare fillet of something on a layer of who knows what coupled with a puree of something (we’re not really into cooking at A&R…).

How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Hyperactive, creative and a foodie.

Always up for doing something, positive and sensitive.
Tell us more about your project… How did you get there?
My project kind of started by chance. My first goal was to have my own restaurant where I could share my cooking and I got a great opportunity to take over a small place. In keeping with the small size of the place, I launched a one-product concept.
Do you have a fun story to tell us about your project?
We recently had our first “dine and dash”. Two girls, who seemed very nice, had lunch on the terrace of our restaurant. They asked for the bill and then disappeared. Only a note was left on the table! “xoxo guys and thanks for everything”, it was signed : “The French girls”!

So, don’t lie – you can’t work all the time. What do you do to take your mind off work?
When I feel under pressure, I go running. To me, it is the best way to empty my mind, be focused and release my energy.
Who did you want to be when you were young?
I have always been interested in art in general.
And… Did it work out?
I can definitely express myself through cooking, which is, to me, an art in itself.
But what is your secret?
I am lucky that my work is above all my passion, which makes me always want more!
Do you have any other dreams?
Having a restaurant at the seaside…
And now, what do you need to reach the very top?
Time, mostly, but – as I always say: “Everything comes to those who wait”.
Finally, what advice would you have given yourself ten years ago?
Go for it, don’t be scared about making mistakes or a wrong choice in your life, the most important thing is to be able to get back on your feet. When you take a step backwards, it’s actually to take a run-up and jump further.
